The Producers Announces Making a Sequel to Hepta: The Last Lecture

Hani Osama’s The Producers announced a sequel to Hepta: The Last Lecture, the highest-grossing romantic film in the history of Egyptian cinema, based on Mohamed Sadek's best-selling book. The sequel will be written by Sadek, while Hadi Elbagoury will continue as the director.

Commenting on this, Producer Hani Osama says, “The decision of making a sequel to Hepta: The Last Lecture resulted from several brainstorming sessions with writer Mohamed Sadek and director Hadi Elbagoury. The new film will deliver a unique approach. We will reveal more details on the new film and its cast and crew soon.”

Hepta: The Last Lecture is based on Mohamed Sadek's best-selling book, which portrays the seven stages of love through four paralleled stories. Mohamed Sadek's novel topped the charts in Egypt and the Arab world for several weeks.

The film topped the Egyptian box office with revenues that surpassed EGP 26 million, which currently exceeds EGP 52 million after currency devaluation, becoming the highest-grossing romantic film in the history of Egyptian cinema.

The film won more than 20 awards, including 10 awards at the Arabian Cinema Awards (ACA), six awards at the 65th Egyptian Catholic Center Cinema Festival, four awards from Dear Guest Magazine (DG Awards) and the Audience Award at the Arabian Sights Film Festival in Washington. Also, the film took part in five other festivals: Malmö Arab Film Festival, Arab Camera Festival in Rotterdam, Cairo International Film Festival, Mediterranean Film Festival of Annaba (FAFM) and the Arab Cinema Week in New York.

The first film’s cast includes: Amr Youssef, Maged El Kedwany, Ahmed Malek, Ahmed Dawood, Dina El Sherbiny, Yasmine Raeis, Jamila Awad, Hany Adel, Ahmed Bedeir, together with Salwa Mohamed Aly, Kinda Alloush, Anoushka, Mohamed Farrag, and Nelly Karim, along with Shereen Reda and the two kids, Abdallah Azmi and Lina Ben Haman. The film is a joint production between Hani Osama's The Producers, Mohamed Hefzy's Film Clinic and Amgad Sabry's iProductions. The adaption was scripted by Wael Hamdy. The crew includes Directors of Photography Gamal El Boushy and Leo Carbotta, along with Production Designer Hend Haidar and Production Manager Mohamed El Hady.

THE PRODUCERS JOINS RAMADAN COMMERCIALS MARATHON WITH ITS NEW ETISALAT EGYPT TV COMMERCIAL

The Producers of producer Hani Osama's has recently joined Ramadan's marathon of TV commercials with its new Etisalat Egypt TV commercial. Directed by Hadi El Bagoury, the TV commercial brought together a large number of film and TV stars, and singers.

The commercial generated more than 5 million views, more than 14 thousand shares, and got more than 150 thousand likes in less than 24 hours on Etisalat Egypt's official Facebook page and YouTube channel.

This is the fourth TV commercial to be produced by The Producers for Etisalat Egypt.The commercial features Shereen Reda, Samira Said, Nelly Karim, Mohamed Ramadan, Ahmed Fahmy and Ali El Haggar. The company produced more than 78 TV commercials for Egyptian and Arab companies, in addition to its film and TV productions.
